The Saint Honoratus chapel, located in the Alyscamps in Arles, France. The Alyscamps was a Roman necropois, or elaborate burial grounds just outside the Old Town of Arles. It was forbidden to bury the dead in many Roman towns.
The abbey of Saint-Martin-du-Canigou is a monastery built in 1009 in the Pyrenees on Canigou mountain in present day southern France near the Spanish border. An invigorating 45 minute hike up provides a gorgeous view of this active monastery, A very inspiring place to just sit and contemplate life.
This picture was taken in Fall, 2014 at the Pont Valentre bridge in Cahors, France. The 14th century structure provides the perfect frame for the beautiful Fall colors of the trees in the background.
